David A.B Brown
Mr. Brown Co-Founded The Windsor Group, Inc., and has been its President since 1984. Mr. Brown has over 22 years of energy related experience. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Cellzome AG. He served as an Executive Officer of Roche Holding AG. Mr. Brown has been the Chairman of Layne Christensen Co. (NASD: LAYN) since June 10, 2005 and is currently serving as the company’s interim CEO. He has been the Chairman of Pride International Inc. since May 2005. Mr. Brown served as the Chairman of Comstock Group, Inc. from 1988 to 1990. He has been Director of Pride International Inc since September 2001. He has been Director of Layne Christensen Co. since July 10, 2003. Mr. Brown has been Director at Reserva Natural Gas Corp., since August 21, 2006, Emcor Group Inc., since December 15, 1994 and TMK NSG, L.L.C. since April 2000. Mr. Brown serves as a Director of Mission Resources Inc. He serves as a Director for Luca Technologies, Inc. Mr. Brown served as a Director of Marine Drilling Companies Inc. since June 1995. Mr. Brown served a Director of Ensco plc from May 31, 2011 to May 19, 2014. He served as a Director of Petrohawk Energy Corp. from July 28, 2005 to July 2006. He served as a Director of Technical Communications Corp. from November 1998 to March 2004, Btu International Inc. from 1989 to March 1, 2004 and Mission Resources Corp. since October 2002. Mr. Brown is a Member of the Quebec Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Brown earned his MBA, with distinction, from Harvard University and a Bachelor's degree in commerce and a licentiate in Accounting from the McGill University.
Dr. Wheelwright is the President of Brigham Young University-Hawaii. He is a Limited Partner at J. Devien Capital, LLC and serves as Senior Advisor at NaviMed. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of Peterson Partners LP, serves as a Director at O.C. Tanner Company, CheckSum LLC, has been a Director of Zions Bancorp. (UT) since May 3, 2004 and Allegheny Ludlum Corporation, since 1988. Dr. Wheelwright served as a Director of Heartport Inc., since January 1995 and TJ International Inc., since 1980. He served as Director of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from May 2006 to November 29, 2007. He served as Chairman of Harvard Business Publishing Corporation. Dr. Wheelwright served as a Director of Quantum Corporation, Hard Disk Drive Group since February 11, 2004 and also served as its Lead Independent Director. Previously, he also served as a Director of Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Franklin Covey Corp.
From 2003-2006, Professor Wheelwright was a Baker Foundation Professor and Senior Associate Dean, Director of HBS Publication Activities. In that role, he oversaw the HBS Publishing Company (including HBR, HBS Press books, HBS cases, e-Learning products, and newsletters / conferences). Dr. Wheelwright retired from his position as the Edsel Bryant Ford Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. He also served as the Senior Associate Dean and Chairman of the MBA program at Harvard Business School from 1995 to 1998. Dr. Wheelwright served as a Senior Associate Dean and Director of Faculty Hiring and Planning of Harvard Business School from 1998 to 2000 and held oversight responsibility for distance learning. He first taught at Harvard from 1971-79 and was the Thomas Henry Carroll-Ford Foundation Visiting Professor from 1985 to 1986. He rejoined the Harvard faculty in 1988. In his years away from Harvard, Dr. Wheelwright was the Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers Professor of Management at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He has taught for almost 30 years at Harvard and the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is an authority on product and process development and the role this plays in achieving competitive advantage. During his 20 years at Harvard Business School, Dr. Wheelwright has taught courses in both the MBA and Executive Education programs, including Technology and Operations Management, Developing and Managing Technology, and Leading Product Development. In addition to his Harvard and Stanford positions, Dr. Wheelwright served on the faculty of INSEAD (European Institute of Management) in Fontainebleau, France. He is also a Senior Advisor of NaviMed Capital. He is the Author and Co-Author of numerous cases, articles, and more than 15 books in the areas of product development manufacturing strategy, operations management, strategy and operations, and forecasting. Dr. Wheelwright has co-authored several works and most recently Leading Product Development: The Senior Manager's Guide to Creating and Shaping the Enterprise (Free Press, 1995).
Dr. Wheelwright received a PhD and an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Utah.
Mr. Sellers is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Koa Capital Partners. Prior to that he served as Co-President of ProService Hawaii and Managing Partner at Headland Partners. He has small business operating experience and a history of achievement in entrepreneurship and general management. Mr. Sellers spent most of his professional life in an entrepreneurial environment developing strong sales and marketing skills. He began his career in regional advertising firm, where he served as Director of Sales and was instrumental in the business' Asia expansion and eventual sale to the fifth largest global ad agency. In the beginning of his career he spent four years in management consulting working with fortune 500 growth companies. He joined Keen, as its first employee and helped grow the business into a profitable $60 million e-commerce company as its sole General Manager.
Mr. Sellers received an MBA from Kellogg, majoring in Marketing and Corporate Strategy.
Mr. Bergstrand is the founder of Archipelago Ventures, LLC a Boston-based private investment firm established in 2008. Archipelago Ventures serve as a vehicle for diversifying assets into privately held investments. Since its founding, Archipelago has made investments in search funds, search fund acquisitions and in select startup ventures in the United States and in Europe.
Prior to Archipelago Ventures, Mr. Bergstrand owned and managed a custom boat building business based in Massachusetts. He also served as chief financial officer at institutional brokerage Enskilda Securities, Inc in New York City and held operational positions for the Swedish banking group SEB in Singapore and the United States.
Mr. Bergstrand holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from Bryant University in Rhode Island.
Mr. Ludwig leads the U.S. operations of the Installed-Base Maintenance & Support department for SAP Applications with teams in Palo Alto, CA, and Newtown Square, PA. Prior to that, Christoph was worldwide Development Support Manager in the GBU Commerce, responsible for SAP SRM. Prior to that, he was Support Manager Americas at SAP Markets, and Manager of 7x24 Development Support – Finance & Accounting. Prior to that, he was Senior Developer at SAP in Germany.
Mr. Ludwig holds an MBA with Honors from University of California, Berkley, and an MS in Physics from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Germany. His special interests include entrepreneurship and finance, and he is cofounder of Plenty of Bonds Insurance Services, LLC.
Stephen S. MadSen
Mr. Madsen is a retired partner of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. As a senior litigator and counselor with broad experience in several fields, Mr. Madsen handled major antitrust litigation for international banks and Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Madsen is also highly experienced in the field of arbitration, having handled disputes under ICC, UNCITRAL, AAA and ad hoc rules. Mr. Madsen’s international arbitration experience included representation of an international motor company, construction contract disputes and several purchase prices adjustments for Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Madsen’s arbitration experience also includes representation of a sovereign, the Republic of Suriname, in a maritime border dispute arbitration under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
In 2009, 2010 and 2011, Mr. Madsen was recognized by The Legal 500 for his work in trade secrets litigation. He is a co-author of Removal to Federal Court in Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts (Third Edition) and is also an Editor of the New York State Bar Association’s New York Antitrust and Consumer Protection Law (Third Edition). Mr. Madsen is a member of the New York City Bar Association, where he serves as a Vice Chair of the Committee on the Judiciary. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, where he serves on the Executive Committee of the Antitrust Law Section and recently served as Chair of that Section. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers’ Association, the Federal Bar Council and the London Court of International Arbitration. Mr. Madsen is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and of the Bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First, Second, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and District of Columbia Circuits and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Madsen is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Columbia Law School and serves on the Executive Committee. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of La Scuola d’Italia and is a member of the Board of Directors of Episcopal Social Services.
Mr. Madsen was born in Spokane, Washington and raised near Cleveland, Ohio. He received an A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1973 and a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1980, where he was a Stone Scholar and Writing and Research Editor of the Columbia Law Review. After a clerkship with Hon. Amalya L. Kearse of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Mr. Madsen joined Cravath in 1981 and became a partner in 1988.
Mr. McCarthy has been an owner/operator of private companies since 1982. He is currently the owner, Chairman and CEO of Sensorex, a Southern California manufacturer of sensors used to measure water quality. Sensorex is a global provider of sensors to instrument manufacturers, distributors, catalogs and end users. Prior to purchasing a company, Ted worked for Citibank’s consumer business in New York, Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles. He has served on the boards of several private companies and charitable organizations.
Mr. McCarthy received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School his BSME from Villanova University.
Mr. Webster is the Co-Founder and Partner of Ivy Partners, a privately held investment firm that seeks to acquire and actively manage established private companies in the United Kingdom. Prior to launching the first search fund in the UK in 1992, he was IBM’s National Account Manager in the UK and responsible for the company’s six largest international bank clients. In 1995 he acquired an orthotics and prosthetics business rehabilitation services company, which he grew while serving as the CEO from £3.5m to £30m in sales over 10 years, and became the chairman of the industry association, representing the industry at the Government level.
Mr. Simon remains entrepreneurial and committed to building businesses and currently sits on the board of MyDish.co.uk, PXP (formerly Servebase), Medical Toxicology and Information Services Ltd, R Link Ltd, and the European Search Fund Association.

Mr. Luchansky is an investment professional at the hedge fund King Street Capital in New York for over 6 years. Before working at King Street, Adam was an Analyst in the FIG investment banking group at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Luchansky is currently earning his Masters in Math Finance from Columbia University and earned a BS from Duke University, with a double major in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. McGee joined Quadrant Management, Inc., a principal investment management firm that manages over $3 billion, in 2010 and is responsible for making investments and overseeing companies at the firm. Mr. McGee currently serves as Chairman and CEO of QMES LLC, a provider of home health equipment and supplies. Mr. McGee holds Director level positions in portfolio companies along with Executive level roles at certain times. Prior to Quadrant, Mr. McGee was in the investment banking group at Deutsche Bank and before that Merrill Lynch.
